Milli Mücadele'de Küçük Menderes havzası (1919-1923)

Abstract

Milli Mücadele yıllarında (1919'1922) Küçük Menderes Havzası'nda Yunan işgaline bir başkaldırı olarak ortaya çıkan Kuva-yi Milliye hareketi, bunun nasıl, hangi şartlarda ve kimlerin katılımı ve desteğiyle gerçekleştiği anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca işgalin ve Kuva-yi Milliye hareketinin bölge halkına etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Birinci bölümde Küçük Menderes Havzasının o dönemde içinde bulunduğu sosyal şartlar üç başlık altında incelenerek ortaya konulmuştur. İkinci bölümde mütareke yıllarından başlayarak işgale kadar geçen zamanda İzmir'in içinde bulunduğu durum ve işgalin gerçekleşme süreci hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise işgalin genişlemeye başlaması ve Ödemiş'e doğru ilerlemesiyle burada yapılan çalışmalara değinilmiştir. Çalışma Küçük Menderes Havzasındaki yerleşim birimlerinin faaliyetlerini akademik bir araştırma ile ilk kez ortaya koyarak, o dönem içinde yaşananlara ışık tutmaktadır.
