Aleviler toplumumuz içerisinde, kimlikleri ile ilgili talepleriyle öne çıkan, önemli bir
kesimi ifade etmektedirler. Çalışma Alevi toplumunun siyasal davranışlarına
odaklanmaktadır. Tarihi süreç içerisinde Aleviliğin göçebelikten yükselmesi ve merkezi
otoriteye muhalefet etmiş olması, Aleviliğin kendine özgü bir inanç karakteri oluşturmasına
neden olmuştur. Bugün Alevi inancına mensup bireylerin siyasal davranışlarında Aleviliğin
kendine özgü inanç karakterinin izleri bulunur. Bu anlamda modern siyasal yelpazenin
soluna eğilimli bir grubu ifade ederler. Çalışmanın birinci savı Alevilerin siyaset içerisinde
öz kimlikleri ile bir özne olmaya istekli olmadıklarıdır. Aslında Aleviler kimlikleri ile ilgili
talepleri olan bir grup oldukları için Alevi kimliği ile siyaset içerisinde yer almaları
beklenebilirdi. Bu doğrultuda siyaset sahnemizde Alevi kimliği ile kurulan iki parti
bulunmaktadır. Ancak iki parti de ciddi başarılar elde edip uzun süre siyaset sahnemizde
kalamamıştır. Çünkü Aleviler taleplerinin karşılanmaması halinde inançları ile ilgili var
oluşsal bir kaygı yaşamadıkları için öz kimlikleri ile siyaset içerisinde yer almaya istekli
değillerdir. Ayrıca sol, demokrat, liberal bir partinin iktidarında bu taleplerin
karşılanacağına inanmaktadırlar ve din temelli siyasete, kendi inanç kimlikleriyle dahi olsa,
karşıdırlar. Çalışmadaki ikinci sav Alevilerin MHP’yi çok kısıtlı miktarda desteklediği
şeklindedir. Aleviliğin göçebe Türkmen inancı olması, inancın içerisinde İslamiyet öncesi
Türk inançlarına ve törelerine ait göndermelerin olması nedeniyle Alevilerin bugün siyaset
sahnemizde olan MHP’ye eğilimli olmaları beklenebilirdi. Ancak 1970-1980 arası yaşanan
çatışmalar ve MHP’nin sahiplendiği Türk-İslam sentezi iddiası nedeniyle Sünni İslam

söylemini benimsemesi, Alevilerin MHP yönelimini son derece kısıtlamaktadır. Çalışmanın
son savı Alevilerin bugün yoğun bir şekilde CHP’ye oy verme eğilimi bulunmasıyla
ilgilidir. Aleviler 1990’larda yükselen ve Aleviliği tamamen reddeden ya da Sünni İslam
içerisinde tanımlayan siyasal İslam’dan korunabilmek için en geniş cephe olarak gördükleri
sosyal demokratlara yönelmektedirler. Böylece Alevilerin CHP etrafındaki
konsadilasyonları artmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada Alevi toplumunun oy verme davranışı incelenmektedir. Alevilerin
siyasal eğilimlerinin anlaşılabilmesi için Aydın’ın Kuşadası ilçesindeki Hacı Bektaş Veli
Anadolu Kültür Vakfı’nın şubesinde yöneticilik yapmış on kişi ile mülakat
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada bulunan savlar belgesel gözlem, literatür taraması ve seçim
istatistikleri kullanılarak sınanmasının yanında Kuşadası’ndaki H.B.V.A.K.V.’de
gerçekleştirilen saha çalışması ile sınanmıştır.
In our society, Alevis, expresses an important segment with their demands
regarding their identity. The main focus of this research is the political behavior of Alevis.
The rise of Alevism from nomadism and its opposition to the central authority in the
historical process caused Alevism to form a distinctive belief character. Even today, the
political behavior of alevian individuals is partly affected by their own core traditional
beliefs. Because of this effect, alevian individuals are aimed to be leftist on political action.
The first assertion of this research claims that Alevis do not want to take a role in the
political area of their racial identity. Alevis care so much about their identities. That’s why
they expected to use their identity in the political area, but interestingly they never ask to
use their etchnical identity. However, even they do not want to use their alevian identity,
there were two political parties established by Alevis. Additionally, the parties established
by Alevis couldn’t achieve their goals and vanished from the political area in a sort-time. By
the way, even if the demands of Alevis don’t support by the authorities, they never thought
that their beliefs would have any existential problems; that’s why Alevis always wanted to
keep separate the relations of religion and state affairs. At the same time, any left-view,
liberal, and democrat parties also aware that this kind of demand, which only represents a
group of peoples’ needs, could not be supported; because of this belief, they are also against
the religion based politics like Alevis. Another assertion of this research is pointed out that
Alevis individuals have too little support for MHP. Moreover, Alevis were also Turkish

nomads in Anatolia as much as MHP supporters, and Alevis are also similar to MHP
supporter in terms of their old beliefs and morals; in light of this similarities, alevis are
expected to support MHP more than the other parties in political are, but they don’t. The
Alevis attitude against the MHP is because of the supporters’ attitude between the times of
1970-1980. In that time, people who support the MHP have adopted the idea of Sunnism
and using Islamic talks push the Alevis away from the MHP. The final assertion of this
research is pointed out that Alevis expected behavior of voting, they are aimed to use their
votes on CHP. In the 1990s, Alevis started to reject and not accept by Sunnism because of
this reason to protect against this Islamic behavior, Alevis support the CHP, after that
because of the rising of Islamic politics, Alevis couldn’t quit their support on CHP.
To sum up, this research examining the voting behavior of Alevian society,
and in order to understand and analyze the Alevian society political behaviors, there were
ten interviews made with persons who were managers at Hacı Bektaş Veli Anatolian
Culture Foundation in Kuşadası/ Aydın. Moreover, this research includes literature reviews,
review documents, statistics from the elections, and fieldwork from H.B.V.A.C.F to get
more reliable and supporting findings.
