The Second World War had a devastating effect on all the countries which had
crusaded into the war.Neither victory owners nor losers could save themselves from that
traumatic effects. Because of the war, the economic conditions of the countries and military
forces nearly came to an end.The destruction which was in the nature of war came to an
unseen point between 1939 and 1945. Although Turkey hadn’t crusaded actually into the
Second World War, it was annaunced the involvement to the war on 23rd February in 1945.
Due to the mobilisation a significant part of the men work force was mobilised, the decrease
in the workforce was tried to work out by employing women and children.Woman had to
substitute for her husband who had joined the army or started to work to provide financial
support as her husband’s wage wasn’t enough The economic crisis because of the Second
World War had an effect on rate of marriage and divorce. By analyzing the statistical data, it
can be seen that the negative effects of the war destroyed the family life. During the war
years, it was observed that the divorcement rate was the highest in the history of the
republic. During The Second World War, the ones who were more affected were children.
Comparing to the past, more children had to work instead of going to school. Children were
deprived of family and mother support and had to work, also their health conditions
worsened and their socialization and education process were delayed. Because of the
increasing divorces, the women and the children had to take part in the working life and
some of the children became orphans.
