öz Yapılan bu çalışmayla ergenler arasında ruhsal sorunların (depresyon ve intihar davranışı) yaygınlığı ile rehber öğretmenler tarafından verilen sorun çözme eğitiminin ruh sağlığı sorunlarım önlemedeki / azaltmadaki ve koruyucu etmenleri artırmadaki etkinliği saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Ruhsal sorunların (depresyon ve intihar davranışı) ergenler arasında yaygın olduğu saptanmıştır. Rehber öğretmenler tarafından verilen sorun çözme eğitimi sonucunda ruh sağlığı sorunlarında herhangi bir azalma, koruyucu etmenlerde ise herhangi bir artma saptanmamıştır. Tezde bunun olası nedenleri tartışılmıştır.
This study aimed at investigating the prevalence of psychological problems like depression and suicidal behavior in adolescence and efficiacy of problem solving training given by counselling teachers in preventing / decreasing psychological problems and increasing protective factors. It is concludet that the pscyhiatric problems (depression and suicidal behavior) in adolescence is common. Neither decrease in psychological problems (depression and suicidal behavior) nor an increase in protective factors was detected in this study with problem solving training. The possible reasons for this condition are discussed in details.
