Turizm endüstrisinde satın alma davranışı çok boyutlu bir süreci içermektedir. Satın alma işleminin karar verme aşamasından itibaren başlayan süreç, deneyimlerin oluşması ile devam etmekte, satın alma davranışlarının değerlendirilmesi ile son bulmaktadır. Turizmde alışveriş kavramı içerisinde hediyelik eşya satın alma davranışı önemli bir paya sahiptir. Bu payın arttırılması ile turizm gelirleri açısından belli miktarda artış sağlanması olasıdır.
Bu araştırmada turistlerin hediyelik eşya satın alma davranışları belirlenmeye çalışılmış ve araştırma iki farklı destinasyonda yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın amacı Marmaris‟e gelen İngiliz ve Türk turistler ile Kapadokya‟ya gelen Güney Kore ve Türk turistlerin hediyelik eşya satın alma tutumları, niyetleri ve davranışlarının turistler, profesyonel turist rehberleri ve hediyelik eşya satış personelinin görüşlerini almak yoluyla olası farklılıkları belirlemektir. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel veri toplama teknikleri birlikte kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre hediyelik eşya satın alma davranışı kültürlere göre değişmektedir. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde araştırma hakkında açıklamalar, ikinci bölümünde kuramsal ve kavramsal çerçeve, son bölümde ise alan araştırma bulguları yer almaktadır.
Purchasing behavior in the tourism sector involves a multidimensional process. The process begins with the decision of purchasing and continues with the formation of experience and ends with the evaluation of purchasing behavior. Purchasing behavior is an on going process by means of the evaluations made and the influences of these evaluations. In the concept of shopping in tourism, souvenir-purchase behavior has an important share. It is possible that the increase of this share will lead to a certainin crease in terms of tourism revenues.
In this study, it was tried to determine the souvenir-purchase behavior of tourists and souvenir-purchase behavior of tourists was examined in two different destinations in this study. The aim of the study is to determine the possible differences between the souvenir-purchase attitudes, intentions and behaviors of English and Turkish local tourists coming to Marmaris and South Koreans and Turkish tourists coming to Cappadocia in terms of tourists, Professional tourist guides and gift shops. Quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques were used together in the research. According to the results obtained, gift buying behavior differs according to cultures.The first part of the study includes explanations about there search, thesecondpart involves the theoretical and conceptual framework, and the last part consists of field research findings.
