İncir üretimi yapılan alanlarda karşılaşılan problemler içerisinde en önemlilerinden birisi İncir mozaik hastalığıdır. İncir mozaik hastalığına neden olan 12 viral ve 2 viroidal olmak üzere toplam 14 etmen; Fig leaf mottle-associated virüs 1-2 (FLMaV 1-2) Fig mosaic virüs (FMV) Fig mosaic associated virus 1-2 (FMaV 1-2) Fig latent virüs-1 (FLV-1) Fig mild mottle associated virüs (FMMaV) Fig cryptic virüs (FCV) Fig badnavirüs-1 (FBV-1) Arkansas fig closterovirüs 1-2 (AFCV 1-2) Fig fleck-associated virüs (FFkaV) Hop stunt viroid (HSVd) Citrus exocortis viroid (CEVd) belirlenmiştir. Ülkemizde yaygın olduğu belirlenen Fig mosaic virüs (FMV)'ünün Aceria ficus Cotte. tarafından incirden incire ve Catharanthus roseus bitkisine taşındığı saptanmıştır. Ceroplastes rusci L. 'nin ise FLMaV-1 ve FLMaV-2'i taşımadığı belirlenmiştir. A. ficus ve C. rusci'nin İncir mozaik hastalığına neden olan virüs etmenlerini taşıma konusu bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaçla İncir mozaik hastalığının simptomlarını gösteren bitkilerden alınan C. rusci ve A. ficus bireyleri sağlıklı incir çöğürlerine aktarılmış ve takiben yapraklarda deformasyon ve damarlarda renk açılmaları gözlenmiştir. Virüs belirtisi gösteren ve üzerinde vektör bireyleri barındıran enfekteli bitki yapraklarından, taşıma sonrası belirti gösteren bitki yapraklarından ve A. ficus ile C. rusci bireylerinden elde edilen total nükleik asitler kullanılarak 12 incir virüs etmenine özgü primer çiftleriyle RT-PCR çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Ana bitkilerinin FLMaV-1, FMV ve FMaV-1 ile enfekteli olduğu belirlenmiştir. İki yıl ve iki tekerrürlü olarak yapılan taşıma sonrası C. rusci aktarılan bitki yapraklarında ve C. rusci bireylerinde FLMaV-1 saptanmıştır. A. ficus aktarılan bitkilerde ise FMaV-1 ve FMV belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; C. rusci'nin İncir mozaik hastalık etmenlerinden biri olan FLMaV-1'i taşıyan vektör olduğu saptanmıştır.

Fig mosaic virus (FMV), identified as common in our country, was determined to be transmitted by Aceria ficus Cotte. from fig to fig and Catharanthus roseus. Ceroplastes rusci L. wasn't identified as transmitting vector for FLMaV-1 and FLMaV-2. The transmission of the virus agents that caused the fig mosaic disease by A.ficus and C. rusci, is the objective of this study. For this purpose, A. ficus and C. rusci individuals which was taken from donor plants that showing Fig mosaic disease symptoms were transfered to healthy fig seedlings and then leaf deformation and vein clearing were observed. Total nucleic acids of donor plants leaves whıch showing symptoms and contain vector individuals, after transmission plants leaves showing symptoms, A. ficus and C. rusci individuals were analyzed with RT-PCR using 12 specific primers. The donor plant was determined to be infected with FLMaV-1, FMV and FMaV-1. After two replications transmission on two years, FLMaV-1 was detected on the leaves of the inoculated plants and C. rusci individuals. FMV and FMAV-1 were determined from A. ficus inoculated plants. As a result; concluded that C. rusci is a transmit vector for one of the Fig mosaic disease agents FLMaV-1.
