Nitrogen and phosphorus play a pivotal role in the crop growth and yield. This research was conducted to determine
the effects of different nitrogenous (0, 60, 120, 180, 240 kg N ha-1) and phosphorus doses (0, 60, 120 kg P2O5 ha-1)
on a plant length, leaf number, herbage yield, dry matter yield, harvest index, leaf nitrogen content, stalk nitrogen
content, cob nitrogen content, leaf phosphorus content, stalk phosphorus content, cob phosphorus content, leaf
crude protein content, stalk crude protein content, cob crude protein content in silage maize cultivar (MF-714 FAO
500) as the second crop in the experimental field of the Agricultural Faculty of Gaziosmanpa a University in Tokat
Conditions during the years of 2003-04. It was shown that nitrogen dose of 240 kg ha-1 and phosphorus dose of 120
kg ha-1 were a suitable combination for maximum herbage yield according to regression analysis. |
