Bu çalısmada, Aydın yöresinde geleneksel ve organik olarak yetistirilen kuru incir üretim dalı bazı ekonomik
kriterlere göre karsılastırılmıstır. Ayrıca, geleneksel ve organik kuru incir üretimi yapan üreticilerin sosyal
özellikleri ve isletmelerin yapısal özellikleri incelenmis, organik tarım yapan üreticilerin organik tarıma geçis
nedenleri, geleneksel tarım yapan üreticilerin ise organik tarımla ugrasmamalarının nedenleri ortaya
konulmustur. Üreticilerin, organik kuru inciri pazarlarken karsılastıkları sorunlar incelenmis ve bu sorunlara
iliskin bazı çözüm önerileri getirilmistir.
In this study, the dried fig enterprises inAydın province employing conventional and organic methods have been
compared regarding various economic criteria. Besides, social characteristics of the fig producers using
conventional and organic methods and structural characteristics of the respective farms have been analyzed. The
reasons for the adoption of organic production methods, and those impeding the shift from conventional to
organic agricultural production have been identified. The problems faced by the farmers during the marketing of
organic figs have been examined, and suggestions have been put forward.
