Bu çalışmanın amacı Mg2SiO4:Tb termolüminesans dozimetresinin ışıma eğrisinin kinetik parametrelerini belirlemektir. Terbiyum katkılı Mg2SiO4 dozimetresinin aktivasyon enerjisi (E), frekans faktörü (s) ve kinetik mertebe (b) gibi kinetik parametreleri izotermal bozunma, ışıma eğrisi şekli ve ışıma eğrisi ayrıştırma (GCD) yöntemleri ile elde edilmiştir. Işıma eğrisi ayrıştırma analizleri Mathematica ve PeakFit programları kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlgilenilen sıcaklık aralığında Mg2SiO4:Tb dozimetresinin 3 ayrı ışıma pikinin bileşiminden oluştuğu gözlenmektedir. Ana dozimetrik pik için aktivasyon enerjisi ve frekans faktörü değerleri deneysel ve ışıma eğrisi ayrıştırma yöntemleri ile belirlenmiştir. Mathematica ve PeakFit programları ile bulunan aktivasyon enerjisi değerleri sırası ile, 1.05 ve 1.1 eV olup frekans faktörü ise 2.2x1010 s-1 mertebesindedir. Sonuç olarak, ışıma eğrisi ayrıştırma yöntemleri ile elde edilen fitin doğruluğunu gösteren FOM ve r2 değerleri hesaplanmıştır. 3 pikin fit edilmesiyle Mathematica ile bulunan FOM değeri % 3.4 ve PeakFit ile bulunan r2 değeri 0.9988 olarak elde edilmiştir. Bulunan FOM ve r2 değerleri deneysel verilerin ve teorik fitin uyum içinde olduğunu göstermektedir. Tüm bu veriler ışığında Mg2SiO4:Tb dozimetresinin ışıma eğrisinin 1950C civarında ana dozimetrik pik, 2750C civarında ikinci pik, 3500C civarında üçüncü bir pik olmak üzere 3 pikten oluştuğu ve kinetik mertebelerinin ikinci dereceden olduğu söylenebilir.
The aim of this study is to determine the kinetic parameters of glow curve of Mg2SiO4:Tb dosimeter. The kinetic parameters of terbium doped Mg2SiO4 dosimeter such as activation energy (E), frequency factor (s) and kinetic order (b) are obtained by peak shape, isothermal decay and glow curve deconvolution methods. Glow curve deconvolution analyses are carried out by using Mathematica and PeakFit softwares.
It is observed that Mg2SiO4:Tb dosimeter consists of combination of 3 individual glow curves for the given temperature range. Activation energy and frequency factor values are determined by experimentally and by glow curve deconvulation method. The activation energy values obtained by Mathematica and PeakFit are 1.05 ve 1.1 eV range, respectively while frequency factor is 2.2x1010 s-1 range. Finally, the figure of merit (FOM) and r2 values, that shows the accuracy of the fit, are calculated. The FOM value calculated by using Mathematica and the r2 value calculated by using PeakFit are % 3.4 and 0.9988, respectively for fit with 3 peaks. The FOM and r2 values indicate that the experimental data and the theoretically fit are in good agreement. According to these results, it can be stated that the glow curve of Mg2SiO4:Tb dosimeter consists of three individual peaks as being one main dosimetric peak at about two high temperature peaks at 1950C, and 2750C, and 3500C. All these three peaks obeys second order kinetics.
