Öğretmen adaylarının internet ve facebook kavramlarına ilişkin mecazları

Abstract

Bu araştırmada öğretmen adaylarının “internet” ve “Facebook” kavramlarına ilişkin algıları, mecazlar aracılığıyla belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim kapsamında yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu 304 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların internet ve Facebook’a ilişkin algılarını ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla, “İnternet ….. gibidir;, çünkü …….”, “Facebook ……..gibidir;, çünkü ……”cümlelerini tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Bu belgeler araştırmanın temel veri kaynağını oluşturmuş ve verileriçerik analizi tekniği kullanılarak analiz edilip yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre internet, bilgi kaynağı ve yaşamı kolaylaştıran bir öğe olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Facebook ise iletişim, eğlence ve haber kaynağı olarak görülmekle birlikte zaman kaybı ve bağımlılık tehlikesi vurgulanmaktadır.

The purpose of the study was to explore pre-service teachers’ perceptions about the concepts of “Internet” and “Facebook” through metaphors. The research was conducted within the theoretical framework of phenomenology, one of the qualitative research designs. The study group consisted of 304 pre-service teachers. In order to explore pre-service teachers’ perceptions about “Internet” and “Facebook”, the participants were asked to complete the following statements: “The Internet is like ……., because …….”, “Facebook is like …….., because ……”. The completed documents were taken as the main data basis of the study and the data were analyzed by content analysis and thus interpreted. According to the research results, the Internet is considered as a source of information and a factor that makes life easier than before, whereas Facebook is highlighted with risks of addiction and waste of time besides the fact that it is thought to be a communication tool, and a source of entertainment and news.
