Öğretmen görüşleri çerçevesinde okul yönetim süreçlerinin etkililiği

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, İzmir ili Konak ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı resmi okullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin okul yönetim süreçlerinin etkililiğine ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini İzmir ili Konak ilçesindeki resmi okullarda görev yapan 3788 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında örneklem belirleme tekniği kullanılmış, çalışan evreninin tamamına ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılım sağlayan 300 öğretmenden toplanan veriler "Yönetim Süreçleri Etkililiği Ölçeği" ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS (Statistical Programme For Social Sciences/Sosyal Bilimler İçin İstatistik Paket Programı) kullanılmıştır. Analiz sürecinde ortalama, standart sapma, Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Whitney U istatistiksel analizleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yönetim süreçleri; karar verme, planlama, örgütleme, iletişim, koordinasyon, etkileme ve değerlendirme olarak ele alınmıştır. Öğretmenlerin okul yönetim süreçlerine ilişkin görüşleri yaş, cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, eğitim düzeyi, yöneticilik deneyimi ve yöneticiliğe yönelik kariyer planı olma durumu gibi özellikler açısından incelenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenlerin okul yönetim süreçlerinin etkililiğine dair olumlu görüş bildirdikleri tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin yaşları, mesleki hizmet süreleri, aynı okulda görev yapma süreleri ve kariyer hedeflerinde yöneticilik olup olmaması durumuna göre okul yönetiminin etkililiğine ilişkin görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin yaşları, kıdemleri, görev yaptıkları okulda bulunma süreleri artıkça okul yönetim süreçlerinin etkililiğine ilişkin görüşlerinin olumsuz yönde etkilendiği tespit edilmiştir. Kariyer planında yöneticilik olan öğretmenlerin ise yönetim süreçlerini, yöneticilik ideali olmayanlara göre daha etkili buldukları görülmüştür. Okul yönetim süreçlerinin etkililiğine ilişkin görüşlerin cinsiyet ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, öğretmenler yöneticilerin etkili bir okul yönetim süreci gerçekleştirdiklerini düşünmektedirler. Yapılan çalışma doğrultusunda ülkemizde okul yönetim süreçlerinin başarılı bir şekilde uygulanmasının okul yöneticisinin etkililiğine bağlı olduğu bu nedenle yönetici yetiştirme sürecinde yaşanan sorunların giderilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu sonuca göre yönetim süreçlerini uygulayan yöneticilere ve araştırmacılara çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

In this study, the opinions of teachers working in public schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in the Konak district of İzmir province on the effectiveness of school management processes were determined. The research is in the scanning model. The study population of the research consists of 3788 teachers working in public schools in Konak district of Izmir. Sampling technique was used within the scope of the research, and it was tried to reach the entire universe of the study. The data collected from 300 teachers who voluntarily participated in the research were collected with the "Management Process Efficiency Scale". In this study, data were collected with the "Management Process Effectiveness Scale". SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Sciences) was used in the analysis of the data obtained. In the analysis process, mean, standard deviation, Kruskal Wallis and Mann-Whitney U statistical analyzes were used. Management processes in research; decision making, planning, organizing, communication, coordination, influencing, and evaluation. Teachers' views on school management processes were examined in terms of characteristics such as age, gender, professional seniority, education level, managerial experience, and having a career plan for management. According to the findings obtained in the study, it was determined that teachers expressed positive opinions about the effectiveness of school management processes. It has been determined that there is a significant difference between the ages of the teachers, the duration of their professional service, the duration of working in the same school, and whether there is a manager in their career goals and their views on the effectiveness of the school administration. As the age, seniority, and length of stay of the teachers in the school, they work in increase, it is seen that their views on the effectiveness of school management processes are negatively affected. It is seen that teachers who have management in their career plan find the management processes more effective than those who do not have managerial ideals. It is seen that the views on the effectiveness of school management processes do not differ significantly in terms of gender and education level variables. As a result, teachers think that administrators perform an effective school management process. In line with the study, various suggestions were made to the managers and researchers who applied the management process.
