Sosyal bilgiler eğitimindeki beceri temalı lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesi

Abstract

Eski çağlardan bu yana zamanla birçok toplum ve kültür gelişerek değişime uğramışlardır. Günümüz dünyasında ise önemli bir yere sahip olan bilim ve teknoloji de gittikçe değişme ve gelişme göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla insanların içerisinde bulunduğu zamana ayak uydurması için çağın gerektirdiği becerilere sahip olması gerekmektedir. İnsanlara bu beceriler eğitim yolu ile kazandırılır. Bahsedilen beceriyi kazandıran derslerden birisi de sosyal bilgilerdir. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı; Türkiye'de sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde 2018-2021 yılları arasında beceri temalı yazılan lisansüstü (yüksek lisans ve doktora) tezleri farklı değişkenler açısından inceleyerek, bahse konu olan alanın geleceğine katkı sağlamaktır. Ölçüt örneklem olarak 2018 ve sonrasının seçilmesinde öğretim programındaki son güncellemeler dikkate alınmıştır. Çalışma nitel bir çalışma olup, durum çalışmasıyla desenlenmiş; veriler ise doküman incelemesi yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ise betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular analiz edildiğinde; araştırmaların en çok 2019 yılında yapıldığı, üretilen tezlerin en fazla Gazi Üniversitesi'ne ait olduğu, genellikle nitel yöntemlerin kullanılıp daha çok tarama deseninin tercih edildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmaların çoğunluğunda örneklem grubunu öğrenciler oluşturmuş, veriler birden fazla teknikle toplanmış ve bunun doğal bir sonucu olarak çoklu analiz yöntemleriyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen bulguların ve çıkarılan sonuçların sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde beceri temasının içinde bulunduğu durumu anlamada ve alanın geleceğine yön verme konusunda katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Since ancient times, many societies and cultures have developed and changed over time. In today's world, science and technology, which have an important place, are also changing and developing. Therefore, people need to have the skills required by the age in order to keep up with the times they live in. People gain these skills through education. One of the courses that provide the mentioned skill is social studies. In this context, the aim of the study is; It is to contribute to the future of the field in question by examining the master's (master's and doctorate) theses written with the theme of skill between the years 2018-2021 in social studies education in Turkey in terms of different variables. The latest updates in the curriculum were taken into account when choosing 2018 and later as the criterion sample. The study was designed with a case study, and the data was collected by document analysis method. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. When the findings were analyzed; It has been determined that most of the researches were carried out in 2019, the theses produced mostly belong to Gazi University, qualitative models are generally used and more scanning design is preferred. In addition, in the majority of the studies, the sample group was formed by students, the data were collected with more than one technique and as a natural result of this, they were analyzed with multiple analysis methods. It is thought that the findings and results obtained within the scope of the research will contribute to understanding the situation of the skill theme in social studies education and to direct the future of the field.
