Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin yeni çevre paradigması ve derin ekolojiye yönelik dünya görüşlerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırmada eğitim fakültesinin farklı anabilim dallarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerinin; yeni çevre paradigması ve derin ekolojiye yönelik dünya görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Yöntem: Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel tarama modeline göre desenlenmiş 2019-2021 öğretim yılında Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen bilgisi öğretmenliği, İlköğretim Matematik öğretmenliği ve Sınıf öğretmenliğinde bulunan 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıflarında okuyan öğrencilerden araştırma örneklemi oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı revize edilmiş "Yeni Çevre Paradigması Ölçeği" ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş "Derin Ekoloji Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çevreyle ilgili ders alma durumları öğretmen adaylarının çevreye yönelik dünya görüşlerini olumlu yönde değiştirmektedir. Ders alma durumuna göre sınıf düzeyleri arttıkça dünya görüşleri de gelişmektedir. Anabilim dallarına göre ise Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliğinin, Matematik ve Sınıf Öğretmenliği anabilim dallarına göre derin ekolojik dünya görüşlerinin yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyete göre ise, çevre ile ilgili ders alan kızların puanları erkeklerden daha yüksektir. Sonuç: Öğretmen adaylarının eğitiminde çevre eğitimi programlarının geliştirilmesi ve ders sayısının arttırılması çevreye yönelik dünya görüşlerini geliştirecektir.

Objective: In this research, students studying in different departments of the faculty of education; It is aimed to examine worldviews towards the new environmental paradigm and deep ecology. Material and Methods: The research was designed according to the descriptive survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, and a research sample was formed from the students studying in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades of Aydın Adnan Menderes University Education Faculty Science teacher, Mathematics teacher and Elementary teacher in the 2019-2021 academic year. In the research, the revised data collection tool "New Environmental Paradigm Scale" and the "Deep Ecology Scale" developed by the researcher were used. Results: The fact that they take courses related to the environment positively changes the prospective teachers' world views about the environment. As the grade levels increase, their worldview also develops according to the status of taking courses. According to the departments, it has been determined that the deep ecological worldviews of Science Education are higher than those of Mathematics and Elementary Teaching. According to gender, the scores of the girls who took courses related to the environment were higher than the boys. Conclusion: In the education of teacher candidates, developing environmental education programs and increasing the number of courses will improve their worldview on the environment.
