Abstract: Doğum İndüksiyon Uygulamasının Doğum Sonrası Özgül Anksiyete Üzerine Etkisi Yorulmaz BÇ, Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Ebelik, Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Aydın, 2022. Aim: The present study was conducted to determine the effect of labor induction on postpartum specific anxiety level. Material and Method: This study was designed as analytical and case-control type. Mothers who underwent labor induction constituted the case group, and mothers without induction were eligible for the control group. The research was carried out between November 2020 and June 2021. It was carried out with 120 mothers who were hospitalized in Ankara City Hospital Gynecology Department. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews with the participants through the 'Personal Information Form' and the 'Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale'. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test, independent sample t test and Bonferroni test were used in statistical analysis. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the participants’ points of Postpartum Specific Anxiety Scale in the postpartum period in relation with undergoing labor induction (p>0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between educational status, family type and pregnancy number and postpartum specific anxiety scale points of women who attended the study (p<0.05). Conclusions: In this study, it was observed that there was no significant difference in terms of postpartum specific anxiety between the groups that underwent labor induction and those that did not. It has been shown that the significant difference between the groups is due to the socio-demographic and obstetric characteristics of the individual. Keywords: Anxiety, Induction, Labor, Postpartum.
