Abstract: In the present study, probable cardiac to those of injury different stages in Canine Monocytic Ehrlichiosis dogs was investigated with NT-pro BNP levels. Animal material of animal this research, involved dogs with anorexia, weight loss, high fever, generalized lenfadenopathy, splenomegaly, muscle weakness, ecchymosis and petechiae in the skin, epistaxis, edema in the legs, dyspnea or polyarthritis to those of different breeds (4 Terrier and 4 Golden Retriever, 3 Rottweiler and Airdale terrier, 2 Siberian Husky, 1Turkish Shepherd Dog, 1 Labrador retriever, 1 German Shepherd dog and 1 Pointer with 2 crossbred age of 2 to 7, from both sexes (10 male 12 female) were included in the study. In addition to the aforementioned clinical findings, nearly 200 dogs with and without trombocytopenia were examined by clinical examination and laboratory tests for diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Dogs infected with E.canis were analyzed with a test kit for Ehrlichia canis/E.ewingii, Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Borrellia burgdorferri and Dirofilaria immitis that were transmitted with vectors and may cause cardiac damage, and only E.canis-infected dogs were evaluated in 3 different groups (n=7 in each group) considering the staging suggested on the basis of serological, clinical and laboratory findings. In context; group I [ acute E.canis infection; antibody negative but detectable level of DNA [PCR positive]], group II [Exposure to E.canis (detectable DNA [PCR negative] but E.canis seroactive)], group III [active infection (PZR positive and E.canis seroactive)] and group IV [Dogs never exposed to E.canis (PCR negative antibody negative)] including the healthy control group were subjected to 3 different classification related to the disease. The healthy control group (IV.group), consisted of similar age range dogs (n=7) of both sexes and CME groups who were referred to the clinic for vaccination or health status, without any abnormality in clinical and laboratory evaluations. 0,5 ml of blood from the Vena cephalica antebrachii was transferred to tubes EDTA-free and centrifuged. Following NT-pro BNP levels determined by Wondfo Finecare Fluorescent Immunoassay device. NT-pro BNP levels were detected lower than 18 pg/mL value for all control group cases. NT-pro BNP levels were detected as 43,08 ± 25,08 in acute infected cases with Canine Monocytic Ehrlichiosis, 27,29 ± 8,13 in active infection, 20,81 ± 2,81 in exposed cases and 18 ± 0 pg/mL in control group. With this study, the clinicopathology of cardiovascular response in different stages of the disease might be understood more detail in dogs and again the relationship of cardiac involvement diseases in dogs with NT-pro BNP analysis, it was thought that it might used biomarker of myocardial damage or investigate the importance the latter parameter as a prognostic biomarker and it was thought to contribute to the field of human medicine (the same disease agent cases).
