Eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin çevre sorunlarına yönelik normlarının karşılaştırılması

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to compare the pre-service teachers‟ norms towards environmental problems through spatial and temporal dimension. The sample of the study prepared by the cross-sectional survey method comprised in total 434 first and fourth class pre-service teachers studying at Science, Preschool, Social Science, Elementary School, Computer and Instructional Technologies Educations and Psychological Counseling and Guidance Departments of Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Education in 2015-2016 academic year. In the study “Environmental Norm Scale” consisting of 18 assessment items regarding the current and the future condition of the environment developed in order to compare the students‟ norms through spatial (I, local, Turkey, global) and temporal (current, future) dimension including the “Personal Information Form” , as well, as a data collection tool in which students are asked questions about demographic features. According to the result of the survey it is found out that; (1) The preservice teachers‟ norms and perception regarding the current environmental issues differ in spatial dimension, (2) in the future, the pre-service teachers‟ norms and perception regarding the environmental issues differ in spatial dimension, (3) it is found out that the pre-service teachers‟ norms and perception regarding the future environmental issues is more favourable compared to present.

Bu çalışmada, Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin çevresel sorunlara yönelik normlarının zamansal ve uzamsal boyutta karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Kesitsel tarama modeline göre hazırlanmış araştırmanın örneklemini 2015-2016 öğretim yılında Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi, Okul Öncesi Eğitimi, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık ve Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi Ana Bilim Dalları‟nın 1. ve 4. sınıflarında öğrenim gören toplam 434 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak demografik özellikler ile ilgili soruların yöneltildiği “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile birlikte öğrencilerin çevresel sorunlara yönelik normlarını zamansal (günümüz, gelecek) ve uzamsal (Ben, Bölge, Türkiye, Dünya) boyutta karşılaştırmak amacıyla geliştirilen, çevrenin günümüz ve gelecekteki durumuna yönelik 18 değerlendirme maddesinden oluşan “Çevreye Yönelik Norm Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre; (1) Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin günümüzdeki çevre sorunlarına yönelik normları ve algılarının, uzamsal boyutlar arasında farklılaşma gösterdiği, (2) gelecekte Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin çevre sorunlarına yönelik normları ve algılarının, uzamsal boyutlar arasında farklılaşma gösterdiği, (3) gelecekle ilgili olarak Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin çevre sorunlarına yönelik normları ve algıları, günümüze göre anlamlı bir şekilde daha olumlu bulunmuştur.
