Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Turizim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin turizm sektörüne bakış açılarını belirlemeye yönelik araştırma

Abstract

In the tourism sector a large majority of the products and services are presented directly to the customer by employees. This situation puts even more importance on the employment of people who have been educated in tourism and workers who have a positive perspective on the sector. The primary aim of this research constitutes the determination of the perspective on the tourism sector of students receiving tourism education at bachelor level. In accordance with the specified purpose of the study, questionnaires were given to 377 students studying in the Faculty of Tourism at Adnan Menderes University and the acquired data was assessed. The findings of the study reveal that in general the students receiving education in tourism at bachelor level have a positive outlook on the tourism sector. In addition, to measure the participants‟ perspective on the tourism sector a comprehensive analysis of all the acquired information was carried out and assessed. The study presents important findings on the subject of the determination of the perspective on the sector of students receiving tourism education.

Turizm sektöründe ürün ve hizmetlerin büyük çoğunluğu çalışanlar tarafından doğrudan müşteriye sunulmaktadır. Bu durum turizm işletmelerinde, turizm eğitimi almış olan ve sektöre yönelik olumlu bakış açısına sahip iş görenlerin istihdam edilmesini daha da önemli hale getirmektedir. Bu araştırmanın temel amacını; lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi almakta olan öğrencilerin turizm sektörüne yönelik bakış açılarının belirlenmesi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın belirlenen amacı doğrultusunda Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesi‟nde eğitim görmekte olan 377 öğrenciye anket uygulanarak, elde edilen veriler değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi almakta olan öğrencilerin genel olarak turizm sektörüne yönelik olumlu bakış açısına sahip olduklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Bununla birlikte katılımcıların turizm sektörüne yönelik bakış açılarını ölçmek üzere elde edilen 4 boyut tek tek analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma turizm eğitimi almakta olan öğrencilerin sektöre bakış açılarının belirlenmesi konusunda önemli bulgular sunmaktadır.
