Lisans düzeyinde turizm rehberliği eğitimi verilen üniversitelerde sanat tarihi eğitiminin mesleki turizm eğitimindeki yerine yönelik bir değerlendirme

Abstract

Temel amacı turizm rehberliği bölümlerinde verilen sanat tarihi ve sanat tarihine yardımcı disiplinlerin turizm eğitimindeki yerini belirlemek olan bu araştırma, Türkiye'de lisans düzeyinde turizm rehberliği eğitimi veren bölümlerde yapılmıştır. Katılımcılar bu üniversitelerde ilgili derslere giren öğretim elemanları ve ilgili bölüm mezunu turizm rehberleri arasından seçilmiştir. Veriler, gönüllülük esasıyla 20'si öğretim elemanı 10'u eylemli turizm rehberi olan katılımcılarla görüşme tekniği yapılarak elde edilmiş ve içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın ilk bölümünde araştırma hakkındaki genel bilgilere yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde kavramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde araştırmanın yöntemi açıklanmış, dördüncü bölümde araştırma bulgularına yer verilmiştir. Mesleki bilgi açısından gerekli olduğu düşünülen sanat tarihi, arkeoloji, mitoloji ve dinler tarihi gibi derslerin uygulama ve içerik açısından yeterliliği değerlendirilmiş olup, uzman kişiler ve profesyonel rehberler tarafından teorik ve pratik bilgileri içeren yeni bir müfredatın düzenlenmesi gerektiği, ilgili derslerin bilimsel alt yapıyı oluşturmak için uzmanlar tarafından, pratik bilgiyi öğrenmek amacıyla da profesyonel rehberler tarafından verilmesi gerektiği, ayrıca derslerin içeriği, türü ve süreleri de yeniden düzenlenerek mesleğe dönük daha faydalı bir müfredatın gerekli olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.

This research, which its main purpose is to determine the position of tourism education teaching art history and helpful diciplines to the art history in the departments of tourism guiding, was done in the departments teaching undergraduate tourism guiding education in Turkey. Participants were selected from instructors who teach the related courses in these universities and tourism guides who graduated from these universities. Data was collected from participants who were volunteers consisting of 20 instructors and 10 active tourism guides, by using interview technique and was analysed by the content analysis technique. General information about the research was explained in the first section of the research. The conceptual framework was formed in the second section. In the third section, the research metod was explained and in the fourth section, the research findings were discussed. The courses like art history, archeology, mythology and religions history which are considered to be necessary in terms of professional knowledge was evaluated sufficiency in terms of application and content. A new curriculum consisting of theoretical and practical knowledge should be regulated by specialists and professional tour guides, related courses should be taught by specialists to build scientific infrastructure and in order to learn practical information should be taught by professional tour guides, besides the necessity of more useful curriculum for the profession by reorganizing the content, type and duration of the courses were emerged, as well.
