İlköğretim ikinci kademe öğretmenlerinin bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerine ilişkin kabul ve kullanım niyetleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğretmenlerinin bilgi ve ieltişim teknolojilerine ilişkin kabul ve kullanım niyetlerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 öğretim yılı Van il merkez ilköğretim okulları ikinci kademede görev yapan toplam 750 branş öğretmeninden elde edilen veriler üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri ögretmenlerin demografik özellikleri ve Bilgi ve İletişim teknolojilerini (BİT) kabul ve kullanım niyetleri cinsiyet, kıdem yılı, branş, mezuniyet yılı, bilgisayara sahip olma durumu, bilgisayar eğitimi alma durumu, bilgisayar bilme düzeyi ve eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin bilgisayara sahip olma ve bilgisayar eğitimi almış olma yüzdelerinin yüksek olmasına karşın BİT’i derslerinde kabul ve kullanım niyetlerine ilişkin ortalama puanlarının orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin bilgisayar bilme düzeylerine göre ise öğretmenlerin büyük çoğunluğunun bilgisayarı orta düzeyde bildikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin BİT'i kabul ve kullanım niyetlerinin cinsiyet ve bilgisayar eğitimi almış olma durumu değişkenlerine göre farklılık gösterdiği ancak kıdem yılı, branş, mezuniyet yılı ve eğitim düzeyine göre ise bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir.

The aim of this study is to determine the acceptance and usage intentions related to information and communication technologies of second cycle primary school teachers. The study was conducted with the data obtained from 750 teachers working at second cycle in the primary schools in Van city center in 2009-2010 academic year. The data of the study were analyzed according to the variables of the acceptance and usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) usage by teachers and their genders, seniorities, majorities, graduation years, having a PC or not, having PC training or not, levels of PC usage and levels of education. According to the results of the study, although the percentage of having a PC and having PC training are high, teachers’ scores on the acceptance and usage of ICT in their courses were found at medium level. According to teachers’ PC using levels, it was found that most of the teachers use a PC at medium level. Moreover, it is found that while the acceptance and usage intentions of teachers is significantly different according to their genders and having PC training; no significant difference was found according to their seniorities, majorities, graduation years and levels of education.
