Süt sığırcılığı işletmelerinde parametrik etkinlik ölçümü : İzmir ili örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İzmir ilinde faaliyet gösteren farklı büyüklükteki süt sığırcılığı işletmelerinin performanslarını ölçmektir. Bu amaçla, çalışmaya İzmir ilinde toplam süt üretiminin yaklaşık %70'ini oluşturan beş ilçe dâhil edilmiştir. Bu ilçelerde İzmir Damızlık Sığır Yetiştiricileri Birliği'ne kayıtlı 5824 süt sığırcılığı işletmesi bulunmaktadır. Örnek hacmi, oransal örnekleme yöntemi ile 96 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmanın temel materyalini, çiftçilerle yapılan anketlerden elde edilen veriler oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada süt sığırcılığı işletmelerinin performanslarını ölçmek için Stokastik Sınır Analizi (SSA) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, en yüksek skorun 0.978, en düşük skorun 0,593 ve ortalama teknik etkinliğin 0,864 olduğunu göstermiştir. Dolayısıyla işletmelerin tamamı %59'dan daha büyük bir etkinliğe sahiptir. İşletmeler büyüklüklerine göre gruplandırıldığında, teknik etkinlik açısından gruplar arasında farklılıklar olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. En küçük işletmelerin bulunduğu grubun ortalama etkinliği 0,852, en büyük işletmelerin bulunduğu grubun ortalama etkinliği 0,899 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Dolayısıyla işletmeler büyüdükçe teknik etkinliğin arttığı saptanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to measure the performance of dairy farms, having different capacity, which are in service in Izmır. For this purpose, five towns that constitute nearly % 70 of the total dairy production in Izmir have been included in this study. In these towns, there are 5824 dairy farms that have registered the union of Cattle Breeders in Izmir. Sample size is calculated as % 96, using proportional sampling method. The data which gained from the survey that was done among the farmers were formed the basic materials of this study. Stochastic Frontier Analysis method was used in this study in order to measure the performance of dairy farming firms. The results showed that the highest score was 0.978; the lowest score was 0.593 and the average technical efficiency was 0.864. Consequently, all of the firms have got much more efficiency than %59 (rate). When the firms are classified according to their capacity, differences among the groups in terms of technical efficiency come up. The average efficiency of the group which has the smallest firms in was 0.852, the average efficiency of the group which has the biggest firms in was 0.899. Therefore, it was stated that technical efficiency increased when the firms developed.
