Türkiye'nin ilk minyatür parkı: Miniatürk

Abstract

Bu çalışma, minyatür parkların mekansal özelliklerini sorgulayarak rekreasyonel potansiyelini ve turizme olan katkısını ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde Türkiye'nin ilk minyatür parkı olan Miniatuk (İstanbul) araştırma alanı olarak seçilmiş, ulaşılabilen yurt dışı örnekleri ile karsılaştırılarak mevcut durumu ortaya konulmuştur. Araştırma; kavramsal çerçeve, veri toplama, değerlendirme - sentez ve sonuç - öneriler olmak üzere başlıca dört aşamada yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın veri toplama bölümünde, internet yoluyla veri toplama yönteminden yararlanılmış, Hollanda, İtalya, Belçika, Avusturya, İspanya, İsviçre ve Tayvan'dan olmak üzere 7 adet minyatür park ve model kent, elektronik posta aracılığıyla anket sorularını cevaplayarak araştırmaya dahil olmuştur. Araştırmanın ikinci bölümünde ise yine aynı bilgi formu yerel araştırma alanı için araştırıcı tarafından yerinde doldurulmuştur. Böylelikle yerel araştırma alanı ile çalışmaya destek veren diğer örneklerin karşılaştırılma imkanı yaratılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; toplumun farklı kesimlerini farklı amaçlarla bir araya getirebilecek potansiyelde olan alanın, eksikliklerinin olabildiğince giderilmesi ve ilgi çekiciliğinin daha da artırılarak tarihi - mimari örneklerin temsilcisi olarak görülen maketler vasıtasıyla mimariye duyulan ilginin ve turistik çekim noktası olma özelliğinin artırılması gerekliliği saptanmıştır.

The objective of this study is to examine the spatial features of miniature parks and hence put forth their recreational potential along with their contribution to tourism. To this end Miniaturk, Turkey's first miniature park has been selected as the location of research and its current status has been presented after comparing it with other similar parks around the world. The research has been carried out in four main stages as conceptual frame, data collection, evaluation synthesis and conclusion - suggestions. During the data collection stage of the study, “internet data collection method” has been used. Seven miniature parks and model cities from Holland, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan have taken part in this study by answering the survey questions sent to them via e-mail. In the second part of the study the same information form was filled out on site by the researcher for the local research area. Thus, the local research area was compared by similar sites that have taken part in the study.As a result of the study; it has been determined that there is a need to eliminate the deficiencies of the park which can bring together different parts of society for different reasons and increase its popularity resulting in an increase in the interest towards architecture and its touristic attractiveness via models which are seen as the representative of historical architectural buildings.
