Türkiye ekonomisinin enerji bağımlılığı

Abstract

Günümüzde mal ve hizmet sanayinin temel girdilerinden birisi olan enerji her geçen gün daha fazla talep edilmektedir. Artan bu talep ekonomilerin enerjiye olan bağımlılıklarını artırmanın yanı sıra ekonomiler için ciddi bir finansal maliyeti de beraberinde getirmektedir. Enerjinin bu durumu ekonomik göstergeler ile enerji arasındaki ilişkiyi araştıran çalışmalara ilham vermiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye için 1970-2006 dönemi GSMH'si ile sektörel nihai enerji tüketimi arasındaki ilişkiyi eş-bütünleşme analizi ve hata düzeltme modeli kullanılarak analiz etmektir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde genel olarak enerji kaynakları tanıtılmıştır.Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde ise Türkiye'nin enerji üretim ve tüketim değerleri incelenmiş ve bu enerji kaynakları açısından Türkiye'nin yeri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde, GSMH ve sektörel nihai enerji tüketimi arasındaki ilişkiyi eş-bütünleşme ve hata düzeltme modeli ile analiz edilmiş. Yapılan ekonometrik analiz sonucunda GSMH ve sektörel nihai enerji tüketimi arasındaki ilişki hem uzun dönemde hem de kısa dönemde pozitif çıkmıştır. Ayrıca hata düzeltme terimi de istatistiki olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur.

Energy, which is one of the essential inputs of goods industry and service industry of today, is demanded more and more each passing day. this increasing demand does not only raise the dependence of economies to energy but also brings a serious financial cost for economies herewith. this situation of energy gives the inspiration to the studies which inquire the relationship between economical indicators and energy. The purpose of this study is to analyse the relationship between 1970-2006 period GNP and sectoral ultimate energy consumption for turkey using co-integration anaysis and error correction model. In the first section of the study, energy sources has been generally presented. in the second section of the study, energy production and consumption values of turkey has been examined and it has been tried to determine the place of turkey on account of these energy sources. in the third section of the study, the relationship between GNP and sectoral ultimate energy consumption has been analysed with co-integration and error correction model. in the result of this econometric analysis, the relationship between GNP and sectoral ultimate energy consumption has been positive in both long period and short period. furthermore, error correction term is found statistically meaningful.
